LIFESTORY:
Oren Allan Blain, “Bud”, 81 of Buckley passed away, April 13, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born September 11, 1932 to Oren and Agnes Altmeyer Blain in Iroquois County, Illinois. “Bud” married Sena “Kaye” Fishback on April 20, 1999 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a heavy equipment operator for Local 150 and was employed at Vulcan for 40 years when he retired in 1995.
Bud enjoyed watching the Fox Channel, playing card games with family members and all the special times at “Out on a Limb”.
He is survived by his wife, his daughters and sons in law; Pamela and Roger Miller, Paula Tapp, Bonnie and Rick Norton all of Kankakee, Kathy Lovrant of Bradley, and his sons and daughter in law; Ronald Blain of Kankakee, Michael and Sheri Lovrant of Buckley and Frank R. Lovrant of Venus Texas, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters and brother in law; Jackie and Bob Forgue of Kankakee, Barbara Etzel of Bradley Lois Sanor of Bradley and several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers in law, 2 sisters and 1 infant child.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, April 28th at the Kankakee Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The celebration of life service will follow the gathering at 1:00 p.m. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate. The inurnment will be at Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
